As you might've noticed, I am back from my summer hiatus and ready to BLOG. Some interesting things have happened right along side of some fairly boring things -- which I will try not to write about.
I put in an application for a NEW job on Monday. I don't know where I will stand in the deluge of responses received but it has gotten me thinking about ways to reinvent my life. New job seems like a good one. I hired a gardener to make my yard look like Sunset magazine (or at least not like Mad magazine). His name is Mr. Tran -- and he is GREAT! Besides taking the necessary steps to make things LOOK better, he also cleared a space for me to plant an autumn garden (broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts) and planted some cheery annuals.
My yard looked so good that the inside of my house was a fright. So I had to buy new living room furniture and rugs. And you know what comes with new furniture, right? New window treatments (treatments? Like antidepressants?) and interior paint. Oh yea, throw out those tchotkes too. Sigh.
But WAIT! New interior? What about a new exterior for me! (Juliette..come on DOWN) plus a job interview? Must...have....new....clothes. So yep..off to the Napa outlets to buy a suit...plus another jacket (matches..50% off, why not?) and then another...then more pants...a kicky skirt...and fer gods sake..HAD to have shoes.
There were the work shoes...then the play shoes...then....(drum roll) running shoes...can't run with out a HEART MONITOR.
Am I manic? All of this with out mentioning the YARN stash I enhanced. oh. oh.
